Counselor

Mrs. Leu

   Mrs. Leu is the school counselor at Grant Wood Elementary. This is her 20th year in education. Her first 5 years were spent teaching a multi-age classroom of 5th and 6th grade students in Granger, Iowa. Mrs. Leu then moved to Cedar Rapids where she taught middle school for 5 years. She got her school counseling degree in 2001 and has been a counselor and facilitator in the Cedar Rapids schools for the past 10 years. Mrs. Leu is married and has two girls ages 13 and 10. She enjoys bicycling, reading, and music. Her mantra is “leave a person feeling better about themselves after having spent time with her.”
